Welcome - Wandjoo

Busselton Primary School respectfully acknowledges the past and present traditional custodians of this land on which our students are educated and care for; the Wardandi Biblumen people. We acknowledge and respect the contributions of traditional owners to the school and community. Our staff and students are proud to walk and be educated on this land that they call home.

Message from the Principal

At Busselton Primary School, we are proud of our rich history and the strong sense of community that has shaped our school. Our story is one of connection, care and a shared commitment to ensuring every child is known, valued and supported to succeed. As we honour this foundation, we are also stepping into an exciting new chapter focused on high-quality teaching, strong partnerships and improved outcomes for all students.

We retain a small-country-school feel, with smaller class sizes that enable targeted teaching and strong relationships between students and staff. Our purpose is to support every child to reach their academic, social and emotional potential. We deliver a high standard of education through high-impact, intentional teaching, supported by engaging and responsive learning environments that enable students to grow, achieve and experience success.

Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our team approach ensures students are well known, supported and connected, with a strong focus on wellbeing to create a safe, inclusive and predictable environment where all learners can thrive.

We are committed to working in partnership with families and the wider community, valuing the culture, knowledge and experiences that our students bring. Through these partnerships, we strengthen opportunities and support for our students and build a strong sense of belonging.

Busselton Primary School is a place where students grow into confident, capable and connected learners, and where our community works together to ensure every child can thrive.

Our School - Positive Behaviour Support

Busselton Primary School uses Positive Behaviour Support to improve behaviour and explicitly teach social skills and values while fostering a positive attitude towards learning to achieve higher educational outcomes. It is our intention that this will develop a positive school culture with parents, staff and students which is consistent and based on a common language.  We encourage students to be active participants in a safe and supportive environment.
